The new Pixii+ has been released with a extended rangefinder that is said to be easier to focus with for new users and sharper for the purists. It is designed for large aperture lenses up to f/1.0 and supports wide lens bodies up to 72mm without rangefinder obstruction.

The camera has the same 26MP APS-C sensor as the previous version and uses the Leica M-Mount. The Pixii+ also includes a new magnetic eyepiece and improved exposure mode.

Now available to buy from the Pixii website with deliveries starting from mid November, the Pixii+ is available in two colours, space gray and black matte, and in four storage options, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. Prices start at €2,699 or around $2,863/£2360 for the 16GB version, making it cheaper than the previous model, which is priced at €2999 and makes it an option to consider if you can’t afford one of the best Leica cameras.
