Previously only available for iPhone, the app aims to answers questions such as what types of films are suitable for certain environments, where to buy film, and where to develop it.
The app was launched by Kodak Alaris, which owns Kodak’s film and photographic paper business. It said: ‘In each section, you will be able to find examples of each type of photography, along with what others have done with Kodak Professional film.’
Aimed at ‘recent devotees and seasoned veterans alike’, the app includes a sun calculator for sunrise and sunset times around the world. It also features advice for processing film in a home-based darkroom.
The firm says sales of Kodak Professional film grew more than 5% globally from 2013-2015.
