The Amateur Motorsport Photography Awards™ (AMPA), presented by Trackside Focus®, have announced the winners of the 2025 competition! Nico Ragaz has won the overall title of Amateur Motorsport Photographer of the Year 2025 with a Goodwood Revival photograph taken on a Minolta Maxxum 7000 with Fuji Superia 400.
Celebrating outstanding talent in amateur motorsport photography, this year’s awards recognise the passion, creativity, and technical skill of photographers capturing UK motorsport from distinctive perspectives at race circuits and events nationwide. The competition consists of six categories and submissions to this year’s competition showcased a wide breadth of motorsport disciplines and photographic approaches. Overall Winner & Amateur Motorsport Photographer of the Year 2025: Nico Ragaz

“For a very unique image from the rear seat of a 1903 Darracq during the London to Brighton Run. This over-the-shoulder, slow-shutter image captures motion, perspective and the iconic RAC 1 plate – despite heavy rain and a breakdown that cut the journey short.”
