The festival is being organised by Photofusion in Brixton, London, as a way for new and established photographers, artists and film-makers to interact.
Photofusion also hopes the festival will serve as an educational tool.
There are five categories: Fiction Shorts; Documentary Shorts; Animation Shorts; Experimental Shorts; and Music Video.
The videos must be created on a DSLR camera and be no longer than 20 minutes.
There will be public screenings of successful entries at locations throughout Brixton. They will also be published on the festival’s website.
The Still/Moving DSLR Film Festival takes place from 20-28 September and the final deadline for entries is 8 August.
Entries must be submitted using online submissions service Without A Box.
