Canon revamps its top-end 9000F photo scanner

The CanoScan 9000F Mark II, priced £219, can also accept 120 format film (maximum 6x22cm), scanning at a maximum resolution of 9600x9600dpi.

Canon claims that the CanoScan 9000F Mark II can scan 35mm negatives (at 1200dpi) in around 18 seconds.

Designed to be simpler to use than its predecessor, the CanoScan 9000F, offers ‘one-touch scanning’, via seven EZ buttons on the front of the unit that can be configured to suit user needs.

The CanoScan 9000F Mark II also features face recognition software and a ‘scan to cloud’ option – allowing photographers to scan to Evernote or Dropbox cloud services with the touch of a button.

Also included is ‘stitch assist’ which aims to allow A3 documents and photos to be scanned in two parts, and stitched together seamlessly.
