Filmed inside Abbey Road Studios, The Anatomy of a Music Photograph offers rare, inside access to the full journey of creating powerful, story-led music imagery – which could come in handy for portfolio or your next competition entries! A series of three episodes on the Abbey Road Music Photography Accelerator Youtube channel, the series explores both the craft and mindset that shape impactful music photography.
Led by award-winning Photography Director Marian Paterson and renowned photographer Ed Miles, the series shows four emerging photographers being guided through every stage of a real professional photoshoot:
- Paul Bogle – MPA finalist / Alumni
- Jemella Ukaegbu – Founder & Community Director #UKBFTOG (AR/MPAs worked with them to choose a photographer from their network to attend)
- Lola – part of #UKBFTOG (emerging photographer chosen to attend the day)
- Isa Hess (emerging photographer)
Across three episodes, viewers follow a complete workflow – featuring artists Victoria Port and JNR Williams – from concept preparation, to shoot execution, to the final edit. View them below:
