Casio has bolstered its Exilim family of digital compacts with four new cameras including a 7.2-million-pixel model – all due out next month.

Powered by AA batteries and sporting a 2in LCD screen are the 7.2MP EX-Z120, 6MP EX-Z110 and 5MP EX-Z10.

While featuring what Casio claims is the longest battery life of any of its cameras is the 5MP EX-Z500. Its rechargeable lithium ion battery is designed to shoot up to 500 pictures on a single charge.

The EX-Z500 (pictured) includes a 2.7in LCD screen and a claimed start-up time of around 0.9sec.

The 3x optical zoom on board all four models is designed to deliver the approximate 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 38-114mm lens and includes an aspheric element.

Also featured is Casio?s Anti Shake DSP (Digital Signal Processor) system which is designed to reduce camera shake.

All four models boast manual focus control, spotmetering, manual white balance control and exposure compensation of ±2EV in 1/3EV steps.
