A 12-year-old boy from the UK has scooped this year?s Young Travel Photographer of the Year title.
Edward Mole from Haywards Heath in West Sussex scooped the honours with an ?outstanding portfolio of images? taken at the Goodwood Festival of Speed motorsport event.
His prize includes an HP digital camera, photo printer, scanner and computer. He also won a photography masterclass in the Lake District with Light and Land.
Edward says his interest in photography was fuelled by a digital camera he won in an ?Extreme Marmiting? competition and that he is inspired by the work of legendary French photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson.
Meanwhile, a Canadian photographer won the overall Travel Photographer of the Year (TPOTY) title with images of Africa and Cuba.
Lorne Resnick from Toronto beat more than 10,000 images to land the title, bagging him a top prize that includes a pair of round-the-world air tickets and a Hewlett Packard Designjet 130 printer.
All the winning images will be on show from 13-15 January at the Daily Telegraph Adventure Travel & Sports Show at Olympia, London.
