Tamron has today unveiled what it claims is the smallest, lightest 15x travel zoom lens – featuring a new Piezo AF motor.
The Tamron 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD is designed to be used on DSLRs with an APS-C-size imaging sensor.
?The lens features a newly-developed Piezo ultrasonic motor which ensures a silent, precise and extraordinarily fast autofocus,? claims Tamron which adds that vibration correction technology has been improved to allow for a more compact lens design.
The 450g lens is due to arrive in the UK in ?limited quantities? in mid-December, priced £649.99.
