Samsung has this afternoon officially unveiled a new 16-million-pixel compact camera in the shape of the ST6500.
Due out in March, the ST6500 (above) includes Optical Image Stabilization, a Smart Touch 3.0 user interface and a 3in LCD touch screen.
Its lens is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing angle equivalent of a 26-130mm zoom.
Though embargoed until this afternoon, AP spotted that the basic details of the camera have already appeared on this price comparison website. AP has drawn Samsung’s attention to this inadvertent leak.
Samsung UK has confirmed that the ST6500 will go on sale in March priced £199.99.
Samsung has also taken the wraps off the ?ultra-slim? 16MP ST95; and 14MP ST90 and ST65, all due in shops next month.
Meanwhile, the 10MP ST30, a new budget-priced model priced £89.99, is also due to arrive in March.
