A photographer was among more than 50 people killed in Iraq yesterday when gunmen stormed a government building.
Sabah al-Bazee, 30, had worked as a freelance photojournalist for Reuters since 2004.
He died after suffering shrapnel wounds in an explosion at a provincial council building in Tikrit.
The building had been attacked by an armed group who set off car bombs, explosive belts and grenades, reported the agency.
Sabah was a valued member of the Reuters team said the agency’s Editor-in-Chief Stephen Adler.
