Sony is set to bring its PlayStation 3 game, AFRIKA, to the US and European markets.
AFRICA is a computer game where the user plays the role of a photographer sent on safari assignments.
Shuko Shimotahira, from Sony?s Tokyo-based planning department, told Amateur Photographer that plans are afoot to bring the game to American and European markets after initially only going on sale in Japan.
As the virtual photographer becomes more successful they can afford to buy better cameras ? enabling them to move up through Sony range of Alpha digital SLRs.
It starts with the photographer shooting images on a fictional, film-based, SLR camera.
The game includes 110 movies and 400 still images.
