Harman Direct Positive FB Glossy paper
Harman Direct Positive Fiber Base paper is a high-contrast, traditional silver gelatine b&w paper, with a glossy surface.
It is suitable for pinhole cameras, producing a unique positive print, without the need for a film negative.
Harman points out that it can also be used for direct exposure in large-format or Lomo-type cameras (the latter by cutting out small sheets).
The emulsion for the fiber base paper was originally made by Ilford Imaging Switzerland which closed its factory at the end of 2013.
Since then, Cheshire-based firm Harman technology says it has been ‘working hard to secure access to the emulsion and the know-how to transfer production to Mobberley’.

‘So. we are now delighted that after the uncertainty of the last 12 months we have finally found a route to bring it back.’
Harman Direct Positive Fiber Base paper is expected to go on sale in the UK in July.
