A camera club has raised hundreds of pounds for the BBC’s Children in Need appeal by challenging members of the public to take photos of Pudsey Bear.
Kempston Camera Club held the fundraising photo shoot at a shopping centre in Bedford.
‘The idea was to ask parents to let their children be photographed with Pudsey Bear,’
explained club spokesman Rob Boler. ‘For a small charge, an A4-size professional quality print was then made on the spot, for parents to take away.
‘As an alternative, the public were invited to take their own images of Pudsey, using mobile phones and compact cameras, in return for a donation to the appeal.’
Boler said that the two-day event raised £600.
